about the design:

The ‘inter-dimensional energy harvester’ design is me exploring the intersection of ancient mysticism and futuristic technologies.

At it’s core, the design draws inspiration from the sri yantra, a sacred geometrical diagram which was used in Vedic traditions of ancient India. It has been continuously used in Hindu and tantric traditions for centuries. However, the exact origins of the Sri yantra are still unclear.

Surrounding the yantra, are patterns resembling electrical circuitry, reminiscent of the inner workings of modern technology. The lines and dots are inspired by the strokes from diverse cultural scripts and pay homage to the rich tapestry of human heritage.

The concept of this design has a lot to do with my understanding of the sacred Sak Yant tattoos. ‘Yant’ meaning ‘yantra’ is a Sanskrit word which literally translates to ‘machine’. The Sak Yant tattoos are believed to give the bearer various powers like that of protection against evil, attraction of wealth, good health and prosperity.

In this design, I have imagined the Sri yantra as an electronic device, a chip which can be implanted into the human body to harness sacred inter-dimensional energy and knowledge.

This design is my attempt to create a bridge between the past and the future in a way that honores the interconnectedness of human experience across time and space. Through this design, I have attempted to feed a visual stimulus into the brains of the viewers which ignites their curiosity of the unknown thus inspiring self-exploration and discovery. It is also my attempt to remind the viewers the enduring power of symbols to transcend time and space, weaving together the threads of past, present and the future in a tapestry of meaning and significance.

Through this design, I hope that we embark on a journey of self-awareness and introspection, honoring the timeless wisdom of ancient traditions while embracing the limitless possibilities of the future. May this design signify the celebration of human spirit and our eternal quest for meaning in an ever-changing world.
